Deep cobalt cotton dress from Noir Kei Ninomiya, produced under the Comme des Garçons umbrella. AD2023 part of Kei Ninomiya’s sculptural universe where volume is the language.
Noir was launched in 2012 by Kei Ninomiya after years working under Rei Kawakubo at Comme des Garçons. The line focuses on monochrome palettes (often black), technical construction and experimental shapes – but always with a quiet, precise Japanese discipline. This piece leans more romantic: dramatic gathered balloon sleeves, architectural draping at the shoulders, clean round neckline and front button closure. Dropped waist seam with a softly structured skirt.
The cotton holds shape beautifully – crisp but fluid enough to move.
